Name that movie quote

"It's all just a random lottery of meaningless tragedy in a series of near-escapes."

I'm watching a movie now, that used to represent my philosophies and wonderment of the world. This line nailed so many of my thoughts at the time.

I can see now I've moved past it a bit, that it represents a younger, just-starting-out-in-life kind of thinking.

It's kinda cool to be able to look back, to see the distance between now and then.

Reality Bites...did I get this one right?

For the longest time, the quote that (kind of) defined my life was from Buckaroo Banzai: Adventures Across the 8th Dimension. No, not the one about going to planet 10, the one "Wherever you go, there you are". It is now dawning on me, that is a much to passive way to live your life. I need to be an active participant, hence the move to Pullman...
