First Bath

We liked the head washing part, must have been nice to have warm water all over our head while we were wrapped in warm towels. We didn't like the rest of the bath though. Cried most of the way through until we were dry and dressed again.

These photos were taken last Sunday when our good friend Sandi stopped by for a photo shoot. I mostly let Sandi take the photos, but I did snap a few as I watched my little darling behave so very well for his first photo shoot.

He will soon get used to the sound of a camera's shutter. :)

Introducing Baby Lundquist!

Hi people,

Thank you all for your love and support through this amazing process. It's taken me a few days to reach the point where I can sit in front of a computer long enough to type a few words and post a few photos. You know I love photography and I'm completely in love with my new son, so eventually we'll get more photos online.

Until then, here are a few faves from the past few days.

Durkin Monroe Lundquist was born on Sunday, Oct 19, 2008 at 2:22 PM. It was a very long night and an even longer delivery, but it's true what they say... it's all worth it the very second your child is placed on your chest, skin to skin, heart to heart with all the love in the world bubbling over.

No woman, No work

Finally. Yesterday may have been my last day at work. I could barely be there, but I did get a lot done. Now I'm working from home and resting, as it should be. I'll be playing each day as it comes and if I feel well enough to go in, I will.

It's nice, though, to be at a point where my projects are pretty much handed off. If the baby decides to come today, I've left work in good shape.

I got to sleep in a little today, what a difference that makes! and I have a doc check-up later this afternoon.

We're really getting down to the wire now. Very exciting.

October is here!

I always love October, I love Fall, but this year it means so much more as our baby's due date is in October. Over the course of this pregnancy I've learned that many of my favorite people have birthdays in October too. :)

Plus, it's pumpkin season and there is a pumpkin patch just about 2 miles from our new house. This photo was taken last year, and I hope to make it out again. It's too bad my overalls won't fit me anymore this late in my pregnancy... there is just something fantastic about wandering through a pumpkin patch wearing overalls. :)
